343A Lygon Street is where Armature all began. It's nickname isn't Armature HQ for nothing! Our custom built mat room has classes that focus on bodyweight/functional movement alongside the more flowing and dynamic work of the Pilates method.
Great pre-requisites or simultaneous preparation for more loaded strength training. Classes are open to all levels and everyone is always welcome to work at their own pace.
More than a mat class! The Springboards provide spring loaded resistance from the walls. Exercises are similar to those on the reformer and trapezius table, meaning there is lots of options for modifications and progressions. Class is limited to 8 participants and is recommended for post-natals.
Flow and alignment are two of Joseph Pilates' principles. Pilates Mat combines all ranges of spinal movements and builds core strength and suppleness. A compliment to strength training or a stand alone dose of mobility and body weight work. Spends more time down on the mat than Pilates Conditioning.
For pre-natal women in second and third trimesters, these group sessions are taught by instructors highly experienced with pre-natal clients. Programs emphasise upper back, shoulder and hip strength alongside pelvic floor and relevant breathing patterns. For healthy pre-natals, no experience required.
