Group Classes for Pregnant Women
Armature has specific pre-natal group classes on Saturdays at 10.00am in the mat room and Wednesdays 7.30pm in Armature Reformer. These sessions focus on exercises especially important in pregnancy, including upper back and hip strength, general spinal mobility and pelvic floor health/awareness. No previous pilates experience is required to attend these classes.
Pregnant (16 weeks and above) clients who already have a regular Pilates practice with Armature and are comfortable with the general group class format can continue to attend Reformer Basics, Pilates Springboard, Pilates Mat Open. Pilates Mat Basics, Pilates Release & Restore, Yoga (all types), Strength Training Open and Strength Training Basics.
If you are new to Armature, please discuss class options with reception or your instructors and we can advise which programs will suit your needs best.
Reformer Open, Reformer Intermediate and Reformer Strength classes are not suitable for pregnancy.
Personalised Pilates Programs for Pregnant Clients
Pregnant clients are also welcome to do a Personalised program at any stage of their pregnancy. A 1:1 Personalised Pilates appointment is a pre-requisite to starting in a small group Personalised Pilates Session.

Reformer Prenatal Reformer class with programming suitable for pregnant women at all stages of pregnancy. Postnatal women also welcome.
Wednesdays 7.30pm Prenatal clients who already have a regular reformer practice at Armature are welcome to continue attending Reformer Basics classes. Insructors will modify accordingly. Reformer Mums & BubsA Reformer class for parents & their not-yet crawling bubs. Bubs can hang out on a rug or mat or in their capsules while parents work out with a reformer program tailored for post-natal bodies.

Pilates Mat PrenatalA prenatal specific class using small props and wall-mounted springs for exercises. Most women are 20+ weeks when they join these classes,

Personalised PilatesArmature's personalised pilates sessions have individualised programs that are tracked and modified weekly and involve a variety of equipment and props. A 1:1Personalised Pilates appointment is required before joining the personalised sessions.
